IIE is one of 18 professional societies looking for professional New Faces of Engineering for 2016.
Each year during Engineers Week, IIE and other engineering societies work with DiscoverE to honor young engineers who are making significant contributions to society. The program puts real faces and stories to what has often been referred to as “the stealth profession” and helps young engineers and engineering students understand that they are part of a global community of engineering professionals.
Here are the IIE nomination criteria:
- Nominees must be 30 years old or younger as of Dec. 31.
- Nominees must be members of IIE.
- Nominees must have a degree in industrial engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. college or university or from an equivalent international educational institution.
The selected nominee will be featured in a national print outlet during Engineers Week Feb. 21-27, 2016, on the DiscoverE and IIE websites, and in Industrial Engineer.
The deadline to apply is Nov. 20. Learn more about nomination criteria at: http://www.iienet2.org/details.aspx?id=40024
